HEATHER NABORS - SCHOOL DIRECTOR
(Beg/Int Modern, Beg Int/Jazz , Musical Theater Jazz)

Heather Nabors received her B.A in Dance from Coker College in 1995 and her MFA in Choreography from The University of North Carolina at Greensboro in 1999. She has been an adjunct faculty member at Greensboro College, Elon University, UNCG Greensboro and Catawba College. Heather's choreography has been featured in City Arts Drama productions of Urinetown, The Secret Garden, Rent and the 2010 B.I.G. Summer Musical Oklahoma . Heather served as the President of The NC Dance Alliance for the past two years. This fall, she will be teaching at Catawba College and choreographing Dirty Rotten Scoundrels for Livestock Players.

SARAH WILDES ARNETT
(Adult Jazz, Adult Beg Modern, Zumba)

Sarah Wildes Arnett is a native of Concord, North Carolina where she trained in dance, music and musical theatre. She holds a BA in American Studies from Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tennessee where she was the co-chair of Momentum Dance Company, a member of the Vanderbilt Dance Program, and the Vanderbilt Performing Arts Council. While in Nashville, she also performed with six-time percussive arts world championship ensemble, Music City Mystique, and toured the U.S. as a member of the Colts Drum and Bugle Corps of Dubuque, Iowa. She has taught classes in Ballet, Contemporary, Jazz, and Rhythm Tap in Nashville, Memphis, and Greensboro since graduating and is currently working towards an MFA in Choreography at UNC-G. She also enjoys teaching Spinning®, Zumba® and Cardio Dance in her spare time.

ELISA WERNER COOK
(Creative Movement)

Elisa Werner Cook fell in love with dance at a young age. She graduated with a degree in Dance Education from the University of North Carolina, Greensboro in 2008. During her college career she had the privileged of dancing for faculty members and students, as well as being a member of the student- lead organization Prime Movers. She has taught for Little People's Creative Workshop and taught at The Dance Project at City Arts during the 2007-2008 school year. Currently, Elisa teaches dance at Parkland High School and West Forsyth High School, where she also coaches the Dance Team.

AMANDA DIORIO
(Adult Hip-Hop, Adult Int/Adv Modern)

Amanda Diorio was born and raised in the suburbs of Boston studying movement, music, and theater. She holds an M.F.A. in Choreography from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro and a B.F.A. in Dance from Temple University. She was artistic director of the A.D.D. Company based out of Philadelphia from 2002 to 2007. She has taught dance extensively in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Delaware, and North Carolina at universities, studios, and community centers. She continues working as an educator at UNC-Greensboro, Elon University, and the North Carolina Dance Project.

ELIZABETH LANE
(Creative Movement, Adult Beg Ballet, Adult Int/Adv Ballet, Beg Ballet Beg Ballet/Pre-Pointe, Preballet)

Elizabeth Lane holds an MFA in Dance Choreography from UNCG and a BA in Dance with a minor in Music from Winthrop University. Her professional performance career includes contemporary and commercial work such as John Gamble Dance Theater, Cyrus Art Production, Carnival Cruise Lines lead dancer, Paramount Carowinds Production Performer, and CPCC Summer Stock theater company member. In addition to performing, Elizabeth has shown choreography both by audition and invitation. Elizabeth also works in the fitness arena, helping people reach their health and fitness goals. Elizabeth has a broad range of teaching experience including ballet, contemporary, jazz, somatics, and dance appreciation.

STEPHANIE BARKLEY GARNER
(Creative Movement, Int Tap, Beg/Int Jazz, Beg Tap)

Stephanie Barkley Garner received her Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dance Performance from Missouri State University and has been living, dancing and teaching in the Greensboro community for over 10 years. She is originally from Branson, Missouri where she grew up involved with theater production on many levels, from performance and choreography to rehearsal direction and dance instruction to Branson's entertainment celebrities. Her choreography has been seen on many triad stages including Once Upon A Mattress and You're A Good Man Charlie Brown most recently.  In addition to her classes with the Dance Project, Stephanie teaches dance at High Point University and is an adjunct faculty member at Wake Forest University.

ASHLEY HYERS
(Adult Beg Tap & Adult Int/Adv Tap)

Ashley Hyers has been teaching at City Arts since 1991. She also co-ordinates the dance program at Greensboro College and choreographs for the theatre department. She is a certified Alexander Technique Teacher and pilates instructor.

CORIN KANE
(Creative Movement)

Corin Kane has studied various forms of dance for over 18 years. Her training began at the Point Dance Academy in the US Virgin Islands and continued as she moved to the United States to study with the Alan Hancock Youth Dance Company. She both worked for and performed with the NC Dance Institute in Raleigh, NC. In 2008 Corin received her Bachelor of Arts in Dance from UNC Greensboro, and has been teaching dance in the Triad area since. Corin has worked for the NC Dance Project as the Program Director for the NC Dance Festival for 2 years, and is also the dance teacher at Salem Academy in Winston Salem. She has performed in various places including the Greensboro Fringe Festival, Durham Arts Council, and the Raleigh Civic Ballet. Corin is also serving as a board member for the NC Dance Alliance

MEGAN STERN
(Creative Movement, Modern/Lyrical, Preballet)

Megan Stern received a BFA in dance with a second major in French from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro in 2009. She began studying dance at the age of six at Dance Davidson, where she took ballet, pointe, jazz, and modern as well as assisting with creative movement and teaching beginning tap and intermediate modern. In the past year Megan has performed with the Jan Van Dyke Dance Group, the John Gamble Dance Theatre, and the Naked Stark. She has also shown her own work in the Greensboro Fringe Festival and Patchwork, a dance concert benefiting Arts for Life.

RUTH WARD
(Beg Tap and Int Tap)

Ruth Ward recently earned her BFA in Dance from The University of North Carolina at Greensboro (UNCG). Born and raised in Hillsborough, NC, Ruth has been dancing for seventeen years and began training in tap and jazz at The Ballet School of Chapel Hill and at age nine auditioned and was chosen to be a member of the North Carolina Youth Tap Ensemble (NCYTE). Ruth had the opportunity to travel with NCYTE locally, nationally, and eventually internationally to places like Germany, Brazil, and Finland. She spent her first two years of college majoring in dance at East Carolina University and then completed her degree at UNCG.
